Coach Keena Training Company

Coach Keena has over 15 years experience as a trainer and coach to hundreds of individuals. She has coached over 500 athletes to triathlon success as well as hundreds of others to improved health and fitness.  She has experience coaching and training every age and ability as well as every distance of triathlon from sprint to Ironman.  She has also spent the last 13 years coaching other specialty classes at her private studio such as:  Women on Weights, Commit To Be Fit Nutrition Challenge, Core Strength Training for Athletes, Boot Camp for athletes and other goal specific classes.

Keena is a USA Triathlon Certified Coach and holds additional certifications from the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Personal Trainer. She also holds a degree in Recreation Management and Health. Keena is the founder and coordinator of the Timp Tri Club, a local triathlon club that has several hundred members. She has also been a coach for Team In Training. Keena has been on several radio shows, in local magazines and has lectured throughout the region on topics regarding triathlon training, fitness and health.

Keena and her husband also own Ultimate Sports, an indoor baseball training facility that provides training for hundreds of local athletes. Keena is an experienced triathlete herself and is not only ranked nationally, but has also qualified and competed at the World Championships for Ironman, Ironman 70.3 and ITU Olympic distances in Vancouver and Budapest, Hungary.  She has also completed Ironman Coeur D’alene, Ironman Arizona, Ironman New Zealand, Ironman St. George and the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.  She is a 4 time USAT All American and has placed top three in her age group at the Escape from Alcatraz as well as consistently placing top three overall in countless races throughout the Western United States.

As an experienced triathlete, trainer, coach, wife and mother of four children, Keena understands the effort, challenges and sacrifices involved in making and reaching goals. Keena’s coaching and training approach to fitness and triathlon is one that focuses on balance, motivation and accountability.  It is essential to ensure that each client/athlete has appropriate short and long term goals that are challenging and motivating. Keena then works with each client/athlete to provide an individualized training plan that works for that client/athlete’s own needs and will progressively challenge them as they strive to reach their goals.
