The Experience:
Winter is creeping in and so is my desire to skip pool swims. It's not that I have an issue with training in the winter, I just sincerely dislike getting out of the pool freezing cold, and putting on my cold clothes to get in my cold car and go home. It takes so long to get warmed up! I've noticed a lot more Bear Paw boots showing on the local pool deck and if you've been to a swim meet in the last few years, you'll notice it's become the swim-team standard. There are even swim teams that have started putting their team logos on the boots and making them part of the uniform. Clearly they're onto something.

Since the moment I slipped my feet into my Bear Paw boots I have been thinking of ways to wear them all the time! They're SO soft and comfy, I don't mind cramming them into my bag for after swim coziness! I wear size 9.5 normally, so I was slightly concerned when all they had were full sizes, but the suede outer coupled with the sheepskin and wool blend liner made the size 9 a very moldable fit and I've been very pleased with how they feel.  As well as the pool, I throw them on to run the kids to school and the grocery store and I don't have to worry about looking like I rolled out of bed. Bear Paw has many fans, including countless celebrity sightings, and it's easy to see why- Bear Paw knows comfort!

Bear Paw- KaylaKayla

The Details:
- Oily pressed cow suede
- Front lace with large decorative metal eyelets
- Fold down collar with plaid trim
- 100% sheepskin lined shaft
- Sheepskin footbed
- New fashion lug outsole
- Women's full sizes 5 to 12, available in 3 colors
- Retail $100.00

The Experience:
The more stylized sister to the Marissa, the Kayla shares the same high quality attention to detail. My favorite part was the plaid fold down collar that added a bit of a 'punk' feel. The sheepskin lined shaft kept my feet warm and soft. If you're in between sizes with the Kayla, I would go to the bigger size. The pressed cow suede is not quite as moldable as the Marissa and you'll be happy for a little extra space when you want to wear thicker socks for winter comfort. I love the look of the lug outsole and that they can be worn in a few different ways making them a versatile addition to my closet. They definitely get my big thumbs up!
