"I’ve been called picky. I prefer to say selective. Once I find something I like I don’t like to switch it up for fear of blowing a good run on uncomfortable gear. So, I have stuck with the same shoe for the past few years. I didn’t know what I was missing. I have found my new favorite shoe. Saucony Mirage is hands down the most comfortable, stable, light-weight shoe I have worn ever. I was leery of the wide heel support for fear of rolling an already weak ankle but it has proven to provide just the right stability for my injury. The breathable exterior make for the light-weight feel that I prefer. It runs a bit large in the toe but with adjusted cinching it hasn’t been a problem. In the future I will go down a ½ size. The sole support is great for my high arches. I love it. I’m switching."
The above quote is from Brooke one of our female testers. She runs an average of 20+ miles per week and has been running for 20+years. She runs through the winter too and very seldom on a treadmill. She is very picky about her gear and if it doesn’t work right she tells us.
I have also spent some time in the Saucony Mirage. I was surprised with the amount of comfort that this shoe provides while being so light weight 8.9 for men and 7.9 for women. This shoe is also a very durable shoe. I typically expect that because of the thin breathable material it will start to tear or fray. The Mirage has held together very nicely and kept its shape. Retailing for $100 this shoe is an incredible value. Check it out at www.saucony.com .
