This shoe is amazing. The look did not prepare me for the smooth running experience. At first glance it looks like the average high performance road shoe. With my first run I was really impressed.
With a very soft light weight upper there are no tight spots on any part of this shoe. The mesh top is very breathable and soft. Great support is provided without tension over the arch of the foot or in the typical tension spots in the lace area. This is called SAUC-FIT. This shoe is magically balanced toe to heel for comfort and performance. Most of the structural support feels like it is stacked in the heel cup. This structure creates great support without interfering with smooth runnability.
The CORTANA has only a 4mm drop heel to toe. The shoe is very light weight and feels great running long distances at any pace. This shoe was ready to roll straight out of the box. Most shoes take some getting used to. The first trip in these was sensational and a couple months later still smooth. This shoe makes the long miles faster and smoother.
