Light weight, stylish and performance focused, the Revenge sunglasses by Rudy Project should be on your list of gear to check out in 2012.

The Revenge is a mask-style sunnie which features a Quick Change lens system, adjustable nose bridge, and soft temple tips. The frame is rimless on the bottom and sides of the lens. For me the Revenge provides unparalleled field of view.  I never see the rim and barely see the edge of the lens and while riding have forgotten I had them on because of the uninterrupted field of view.

Revenge is available in a variety of flashy colors as well as stealthy black options which should suit most tastes. The ImpactX version includes Photochromic lenses which adapt to different light conditions. I tested the Smoke lenses and found them to perform well in full sun and heavy shade but the Quick Change Lens system allows you to change lenses based on lighting conditions and also provides investment protection should you scratch the lenses. Each pair of Revenge comes with a single lens, other lens colors are optional.

The adjustable nose bridge allows versatile adjustment to accommodate nose size and fit preference. This is my first experience with an adjustable nose bridge and really enjoy the flexibility to adjust the glasses just where I want them and the soft rubber feel of the bridge is comfortable.

The soft temple tips are comfortable but are pretty standard fare, even among glasses at cheaper price points. The Revenge has an MSRP of $180 and can be found at www.e-rudy.com

I'm an avid mountain biker that got into multi-sport in 2009 or so as a way to expand my training. Then I found that race day is what it is all about. The thrill and excitement of being a part of something so inspiring makes all the training worth it.
